Oceanside's Harbor Beach Among Top 10 Beaches In California: Ranking
There are more than 400 beaches scattered along California's 840 miles of coastline.

OCEANSIDE, CA — Three beaches in San Diego County — including one beach in Oceanside — are among the top 10 beaches in California, according to a new ranking from USA Today.
The publication's expert panel compiled a list of the best beaches in the Golden State, and then readers voted for their favorites. There are more than 400 beaches scattered along California's 840 miles of coastline.
Harbor Beach in Oceanside ranked third, while Coronado Beach ranked fifth and La Jolla Shores Beach ranked eighth.

"Harbor Beach, known for its expansive sandy shores, offers a plethora of activities for visitors," the publication wrote about the San Diego region's highest-ranking beach. "With a playground, volleyball courts, and boat ramp, this beach caters to a variety of interests. Amenities include lifeguard towers, picnic areas, and grills, and shops and dining options are close by, making Harbor Beach a cherished destination for both locals and tourists."
