  2. A San Diego man who allegedly threatened to behead an Oceanside cell phone store employee during a holdup is facing a federal robbery charge, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Friday. Patrick Harrison Hawley, 34, is accused of robbing the Metro T-Mobile store on Douglas Drive (Times of San Diego)
  3. San Diego County is exploring a commercial Cannabis Taxation Program. The Board of Supervisors approved, Framework for Our Future: Measures to Provide Economic Access and Equity in the Cannabis Industry.   5. Oceanside's Elana Meyers Taylor is no stranger to achieving success at the Olympic Winter Games, earning silver medals in 2018 and 2014. The decorated bobsledder will represent Team USA in Beijing. The 2022 Winter Olympics will begin with the Opening Ceremony on Feb. 4, but some competitions will kick off on Feb. 2. (NBC San Diego)
