Overnight Power Outage Affects 1,100 in Oceanside

The outage struck at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

OCEANSIDE, CA — A power outage left more than 1,100 Oceanside-area homes and businesses in the dark overnight.

The outage struck at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday and was affecting utility customers in Oceanside, San Luis Rey and Ocean Hills, according to San Diego Gas & Electric. Utility officials attributed the outage to a "combination of factors" that caused some type of problem in the electrical system.

SDG&E estimated crews would have electrical service fully restored by 8 a.m. Wednesday.
