NUMBER 50: Last night, the Padres 7-3 victory over the Reds marked their 50th win of the season...San Diego is now 4-1 against the Redlegs in 2017, and the Padres have won seven of their last 10 games played at Great American Ball Park and three consecutive series opposite the Redlegs in Cincinnati, dating back to May of 2014.
- Last night, RHP Luis Perdomo logged his fifth win in eight starts, and he has worked 5.0 innings-or-more in 17 of his 20 starts and at least 6.0 innings in 13 of those outings...Perdomo has allowed two-or-less earned runs in eight outings this season.
- INF Yangervis Solarte amassed three hits for the sixth time this season and hit his 12th round-tripper of 2017.
- C Austin Hedges knocked his 15th home run to make it a 5-0 game in the sixth...the Padres' backstop now owns the second-most homers among catchers in the NL (behind CHC Willson Contreras' 21) and the fifth-most among catchers in the Majors.
- INF/OF Jose Pirela tied his career high with four hits in last night's contest (other: July 21 at SF)...he finished the game going 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored.
WHERE THERE'S A WOOD, THERE'S A WAY: Starter LHP Travis Wood gets the ball for the third time this season in a Padres uniform...as a Padre, Wood is 1-0 with a 4.91 ERA (6 ER, 11.0 IP) in two games started, and opposing batters are hitting only .200 against him.

- Wood makes his 28th career appearance and his 12th start opposite the Reds, his former team...the southpaw owned an overall 4.12 ERA with Cincinnati, making 40 appearances and 35 starts in the 2010 and '11 seasons.
- In Wood's last start on August 4 at PIT, it was the first time he had worked at least 5.0 innings in back-to-back starts since April 21-28 of the 2015 season.
VS. CINCINNATI: The Padres' collective .315 batting average against the Reds this season is the highest against any opponent the club has faced thus far in 2017...in addition, San Diego's .565 slugging percentage and the team's 5.80 runs-per-game are the most against a club this season...Padres hurlers' 7.41 ERA (14 ER, 17.0 IP) at Great American Ball Park, however, is the second-highest at any stadium so far this season (behind their 8.84 ERA at Chase Field).
JOSE CAN YOU SEE: With his four hits last night, INF/OF Jose Pirela matched his career high in a game (also: July 21 at SF)...his three runs scored also tied his career high (other: June 10 vs. KC), and it was the first time in his career that he has hit two doubles in a game (his fifth career game with multiple extra-base hits)...with six total bases last night, he has had six-or-more total bases in consecutive games for the first time this season.
