Power Outage Impacts Over 1,000 SDG&E Customers In Oceanside

San Diego Gas & Electric announced a planned power outage impacting over 1,000 customers in San Luis Rey, Ocean Hills area of Oceanside.

OCEANSIDE, CA — San Diego Gas & Electric reported a planned power outage impacting over 1,000 customers in Oceanside on Monday night at 7:03 pm.

The Oceanside communities affected by the outage include San Luis Rey and Ocean Hills. An estimated 582 circuits are affected and the estimated restoration is 06:00 am Tuesday, July 27.

According to the SDG&E website, the cause of the outage was due to upgrading the electric system which requires us to turn off the power. Our crews are working to safely restore electric service by the estimated restoration time.
