Thousands of homes and businesses were without electrical service.

OCEANSIDE, CA -- Power outages left thousands of homes and businesses without electrical service across North County and the central San Diego area the morning of Nov. 30.

The North County outage took place shortly after 8:30 a.m. and briefly knocked out power to roughly 4,300 addresses at Camp Pendleton and in the Ocean Hills, Oceanside and San Luis Rey areas.

As of 11 a.m., power had been restored to all but two dozen of those customers, according to SDG&E, which estimated that the remainder would be back online by early afternoon.
