Proposed 4-story Commercial-Residential Development For South O
The Oceanside Developer's Conference on July 28 includes a proposed mixed-use project for 1638 S Coast Hwy to replace a car dealership.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The first project on the agenda for this Wednesday's Oceanside Developer’s Conference is a proposed mixed-use project consisting of approx. 3,132 square feet of commercial space and 21 dwelling units on a 0.31 acre site located at 1638 S Coast Highway in the South Oceanside area.
The proposed project is a 4-story commercial-residential development with a gross floor area of 34,422 SF. On the ground floor will be a 3,132 SF of leasable retail space and a covered garage with 20 vehicular parking spaces. Levels 2-4 will have twelve (12) 1-bedroom units and nine (9) 2-bedroom units totaling to 21 dwelling units with a total floor area of 17,823 SF livable space.
The site is currently occupied by a car dealership which will be demolished to make space for new development.

The Developer’s Conference provides an informal forum for prospective applicants to receive preliminary input from City staff on conceptual plans that may or may not ultimately evolve into formal application submittals.
These conferences do not constitute public meetings; consequently, conference attendance by the public is at the discretion of the prospective applicant. Interested parties may contact the prospective applicant, whose contact information is included on the conference agenda. Questions and comments can also be addressed to Planning Division staff.
