Queenie is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet of The Week

Queenie is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 1 year old, 9 pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Brown Tabby coat.

Queenie thinks her cat bed is her throne. She will lie on it for hours, watching over every person and everything in her kingdom.

While, at first, she seems confident, Queenie is actually a little shy when she meets new people. It doesn’t take long for her to gain her confidence. Once she warms up to her new situation, she will remind her subjects when it’s time to play. She will also meow to remind you that her highness needs you to scratch her ears.

She was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.

We’re having a baby! Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be having a few hundred babies in the coming months. In preparation we’re holding a “Kitten Baby Shower” beginning Wednesday, April 1st. The public is invited to visit the shelter to meet the animals and donate pet supplies or funds to help purchase the baby supplies that will be needed.
