Reward- Lost service dog- black and brown spots, curly tail
Lost Dog, last sighting was on the 76 Eastbound from getting off of the 5 Freeway. She ran from Fire Mountain. Missing since Nov. 1st. Fast.
DO NOT CHASE OR CALL AFTER HER, SHE WILL FLEE! If Seen, please call 760-859-6378 or 760-828-7575. Brown and Black Spotted Dog with white patches. Catahoula Mix. 2 years old Nov 20th. 45 lbs, tall and skinny with a curly tail. My husbands emotional support animal and terribly missed by my 6 year old daughter. Left Eye Blue Right Eye Half Blue Half Brown. No chip. Wearing brown leather collar with bright red tag and rabies tag. (No sign of found collar). Still missing from my fathers house Nov. 1st @ 9:30pm on Hunsaker st. and California st. Last seen November 7th running on the southbound side of the 5 freeway center divide from Oceanside Blvd heading North. She got off the freeway at the 76 Eastbound side and was seen with women trying to catch her from their car. With the speeds she can run she can very well have traveled further.
I have called CalTrans and the D&D in regards to roadkill pickup in that area with calls back telling me that they haven't picked up any dogs in that description. Also no reportings of hearing a coyote fight, and we've scaled the various canyons for remains/ fur/ etc by these coyote dens. We've also talked to the transients up and down by crouch/ the sprinter station and they haven't reported any sightings of her. SHE MUST BE HIDING- check the canyons, backyards, your covered cars, your garages, under your houses, in the corner bushes. She is an indoor dog- she will find a warm den to cower in. She has had aggressive issues in the past under care of people other than us, as she has been rescued from an abusive family. She will stick herself in a dark spot and growl and or attack when she feels threatened. Chances are no one has been able to steal her because of these aggressive tendencies. She is dog and cat friendly, and likes car rides- as she may jump in your car, would be a good way to trap her. Do not make eye contact, get on her level with a chip bag facing away from her to get her to trust you to trap her, pretend like you are eating out of there and toss pieces out towards her if you do end up seeing her. DO NOT CALL/WHISTLE/ OR CHASE HER. This behaviour will chase her out of town and we'd have to expand our search radius. Just contact us!
I have been checking regularly with the San Diego Humane Society- as they update their found animals every 30 minutes on their website. I have to keep searching, as their staff will not match with their lost dog reports. Also the Carlsbad SDDAC websites, and Pet Harbor. I've posted her alert with NextDoor, PawBoost, Finding Rover, Craigslist, Lostmydoggie, and Helpinglostpets. I would appreciate any fliers placed at local businesses, vets offices, teams to help pass out at local farmers markets and street fairs. I also am trying to raise funds to put her ad into the Union Tribune and run her ad for next weekend- which with a picture and short description is about $140.00. I've already raised about $100.00 with the fabulous help of our close-knit community. Any other places or ways to help, please point me in the right direction to cover any other ground we haven't touched yet.

I've received wonderful advice from a humane trapper to place her kennel with her bed, toys, food and water outside my fathers home, to leave scent markers in their neighborhood to help guide her home. I've placed contact with a pet communicator to help see where she may be, and to help calm her and let her know we are still looking for her and that we'd like to bring her back home. I would request if anyone has a dog that is good at hunting or scenting out, if they can come forward to help aid us in this journey to bring my pup back home.
Through all of this, I'm requesting as much help as possible. We've placed fliers through Fire Mountain, South Oceanside, along shops on Mission and 101, by Oceanside high school, and around the Rodeway Inn. If anyone can make their own and post in their area, even if it goes as far down as to Encinitas/Carlsbad, Vista, and Camp Pendelton. I've also created a map on Google for anyone to add in pins to help report her sightings where we can place a scent marker. You can locate those files at this link here- https://drive.google.com/open?...

Once again, thank you so much for your committed help through this. We as a family have been going through the roughest patch in our lives with our move and everything before and after. This is just the worst possibility that has topped us off. All of us would just love for our pup to be home and complete our family, or at least get some closure in this search.
