SAN DIEGO'S COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION INSTITUTE FEEDS HUNGRY FAMILIES WITH FEEDING AMERICA

Volunteer Event Draws Homeowners, Community Managers and Business Partners to Make a Difference in the Lives of Hungry Residents

San Diego, CA – July 6, 2015 – The San Diego chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI-SD) will hold a volunteer event at Feeding America’s Distribution Center on Saturday, July 11 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. During the event, CAI-SD members, family and friends will partner to sort, clean, bag and box food for distribution among the county’s disadvantaged families.

This event is the second annual community service event of its kind for CAI-SD and will take place at Feeding America’s Distribution Center. Feeding America is the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego. Every year, the organization relies on the support of over 10,000 volunteers. By partnering up with this non-profit organization, CAI-SD plays a small part in helping to serve 473,500 children, families and seniors annually and 70,700 in any given week.

Pastries and coffee will be provided to volunteers in the morning and lunch will be served at noon. For more information on this volunteer event, or to register online, visit www.cai-sd.org.
