Scripps Health to Host Caregiver Support Group July 27

Scripps Health will host a free support group to help people in the community who are caring for loved ones with serious illnesses. The event will take place Monday, July 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Woltman Family College Building on the campus of Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hillcrest.

This support group offers a safe and supportive space for people to connect. Facilitated by chaplains and volunteers, the group provides an opportunity to process significant experiences and emotional challenges together. The support group is open to everyone and is designed to help in areas such as:

• Increase interest in taking care of oneself
• Reduces feelings of loneliness, anxiety and distress
• Increase ways to cope
• Increase feelings of hope and empowerment
• Encourages more acceptance of life’s changes and challenges
