Smoke From Orange County Fire Seen In San Diego County
Smoke from the Holy Jim Canyon fire in south Orange County is visible from San Diego County.

CAMP PENDLETON, CA — Orange County firefighters are battling a fast-moving wildfire in steep terrain in the Trabuco Canyon area Monday afternoon. The blaze, called the Holy Fire, is sending large plumes of black smoke into the air that is visible from San Diego's North County.
Crews are on the scene in Holy Jim Canyon where about 700 acres of brush was scorched in just two hours, fire officials said. The canyon was under evacuation.
Camp Pendleton officials alerted residents and the public that smoke from the fire was visible from the military base. The National Weather Service in San Diego also shared a photo of the smoke as seen from the local office. Black smoke from the blaze could also be seen across much of Orange and Riverside counties.
