- The Oceanside Planning Division will host a public workshop for the South Morro Hills Community Plan (SMHCP) on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
South Morro Hills is among Oceanside's last remaining farming regions and includes over 3,500 acres in the northeast area near Fallbrook. Many residents want the land preserved solely for agricultural purposes while housing advocates propose allowing for "clusters" of housing developments. (Oceanside-Camp Pendleton Patch) - All coastal rail line service will be suspended this weekend between the Oceanside Transit Center and the Santa Fe Depot for routine maintenance and rail infrastructure work, the North County Transit District said. "Absolute Work Windows (AWWs) provide construction crews the opportunity to work safely and unimpeded on and along the rail line to perform improvements and maintenance work," NCTD said.
