Students Deliver Toys and Supplies to Benefit Children in Need

Students from Discovery Isle Preschool in La Costa-San Marcos donated toys and supplies to benefit Casa De Amparo’s 15th annual holiday drive. The school sponsored four children, and the students’ donations exceeded the number of items needed to fulfill their wish lists for the holidays. Following the drive, students and teachers delivered toys, clothing, toiletries and more to the organization’s holiday donation center. Throughout this effort, students discussed how their donations will benefit local families in need, and learned the importance of giving back to their community during the holiday season.

Casa de Amparo, which means home of protection, works to support children affected by and at risk of child abuse and neglect through a range of programs and services that promote healing, growth and healthy relationships.
