Students at Discovery Isle® Preschool in Oceanside Donate Food

Students held a holiday food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank

Students at Discovery Isle in Oceanside recently hosted a food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank. Throughout December, students and their families collected 10 bags full of nonperishable food items to help families in need during the holidays. Through this initiative, students learned the value of giving back to their community.

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and its North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the food bank distributed 26 million pounds of food, and the food bank serves, on average, 370,000 people per month in San Diego County.
