OCEANSIDE, CA — December is stacking up to be a Holiday-filled month in Oceanside. Here are some of the favorite happenings coming up this month.
Wednesday, Dec 1 - 5:30 PM - Chanukah Celebration Menorah Lighting
This year’s Hanukkah Menorah Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Regal Cinema Plaza. In addition to the lighting ceremony there will be a fire show, Gelt drop, music, lakes and more!
Thursday, Dec 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m - Oceanside Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

This unique and dynamic lineup of holiday programs and events will feature a new digital scavenger hunt and a tree lighting celebration — all amid decorated shop windows, the glow of holiday lights and the cheerful sounds of live holiday music and carolers.

OCEANSIDE HOLIDAY CHALLENGE
NEW! Take the MainStreet Oceanside challenge to shop, eat and play local this holiday season. Register here, download the scavenger hunt mobile app and visit Oceanside businesses, destinations and events from Small Business Saturday through Sunday, Dec. 12, for a chance to win local prizes. ’TIS THE SEASON WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST

Enjoy festive holiday window displays throughout Oceanside while you shop, as businesses decorate their storefronts to the theme of ’Tis the Season. A panel of judges will view the displays from Nov. 29-Dec. 3 and select first-, second- and third-place winners.
Friday-Sunday, Dec 3-5 from 4pm – 9pm - SnowSide Winter Festival
This one-of-a-kind holiday event at the beautiful Emerald Isle Golf Course in Oceanside. PierClub and Emerald Isle welcome all to this family-friendly event. There will be REAL SNOW and sledding, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, live entertainment, jumpys, glow golf putting course, silent disco, food, drinks and much more! TICKET INFO
Dec 10 – 19 - A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play
A Holiday Tradition Returns Live! Join us LIVE ON STAGE as we take you to the studios of WOTC radio for Charles Dickens’ classic tale of miserly curmudgeon Ebenezer Scrooge and his visit from the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. An OTC original adaptation – this year with MUSIC! Great fun for the whole family! This year’s cast includes: Brian Barbarin, Bob Himlin, Ed Howell, John McCoy, Olivia Pence, Robin Thompson, Audrey Ward, and Catalina Zelles.
Dec 11 from 7pm – 9pm- Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights
Bring a blanket, some hot chocolate and pick a comfortable spot to watch this years Parade of Lights celebration in the quaint Oceanside Harbor. Fishing boats, sail boats, yachts, kayaks and dingys will all be dressed-up in holiday swag and circling Oceanside Harbor enchanting onlookers along the harbor and at the neighboring restaurants. Many of the boats even feature people dressed up like Santa waving to the crowd! One of the best viewing spots is along the side of the Oceanside Harbor near the fishing dock and police station. From this vantage point, you can see the parade twice! The concrete walkway that surrounds much of the harbor is also good for viewing the parade.
