Top Oceanside Events Coming In September

OCEANSIDE, CA — September is stacking up to be an event-filled month in Oceanside. Here are some of the favorite happenings coming up this month.
Plein Air Art Exhibition Artist Reception
September 3 from 6-8 p.m
The Oceanside Museum of Art and the Oceanside Theatre Company are collaborating to host this Art Exhibition at the Brooks Theater Gallery. To kick off the exhibition, the theater is hosting an Artist Reception from 6-8 p.m. Stop by, view the collection and meet the artists. Light refreshments will be served and Robert Parker will entertain on OTC's grand piano in the Gallery.
First Friday Art Walk
September 3 and every first Friday
Celebrate the thriving arts and culture scene in the heart of Downtown Oceanside, one of only 14 designated California Cultural Districts. From 5-9 p.m. enjoy arts, jewelry, pottery, crafts, live music and more from local artists in Artist Alley Oceanside. This free, family-friendly event is produced by the Oceanside Friends of the Arts in support of arts-related activities.

Music at the Museum with Anthony Cullins Trio
September 3, Oceanside Museum of Art
Explore the exhibitions for free starting at 5 p.m. and stay for the free concert with the explosive sound and epic blues-rock guitar riffs of The Anthony Cullins Trio. The music starts and cash bar opens at 6:30 p.m. VIP tables of four are also available for $50. Save time in line at the bar and order drink tickets ahead of time.
92nd Annual Labor Day Pier Swim
September 6, Oceanside Pier, North Side
The annual Labor Day Pier Swim gathers some of the most hardcore swimmers in the country, even Canada, together to compete to raise funds for the Oceanside Swim Club, a non-profit organization and competitive swim team for children 5-18 years of age. The 1-mile swim runs from 7-11:30 a.m. and allows swimmers over age 12 into their 70s and 80s to participate

Dollar Day at The California Surf Museum
September 7 from 11 AM PDT – 3 PM PDT
California Surf Museum welcomes guests for $1 on the first Tuesday of the Month
4th Annual Us Open Adaptive Surfing Championships
September 9 -12 from 6 AM PDT – 8 PM PDT
The U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships are ON for the dates of September 9th-12th, 2021 at Oceanside Pier. We are also pleased to announce that we are moving the event back to the North side of the pier, the north side wave offers more opportunity for higher scoring and exciting waves for the competitors.
14th annual Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro
September 17 – 19
The world’s top professional female surfers will be back in Oceanside for the 14th annual Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro. The weekend will be jam-packed with world-class surfing competition that will blow your mind, and a festival village loaded with female-inspired vendors, activities and amazing entertainment. The event is free to attend!
Oceanside Harbor Days
September 18 - 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Two event filled days of sun, sand, and surf provide an outstanding opportunity for residents and neighbors to experience fun activities such as a costume party for kids 12 and under (accompanied by parents) at Capt’n Junebug’s Kids Zone where they'll meet local pirates and mermaids. Other activities include Arts, Crafts and Food booth areas, Military, Public Safety displays, music, a beer garden (patrons 21-years old and over with a valid ID showing proof of age required to enter) and more.
Meet the City of Oceanside and Celebrate the Chamber's 125th Anniversary
September 30 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
This event gives Oceanside Chamber of Commerce members and guests, the opportunity to connect with local elected officials, City of Oceanside staff members, other businesses, and community leaders. The Meet the City of Oceanside event includes appetizers and a no-host bar. The cost is $55 for Chamber members, and $95 for non-members.
