OCEANSIDE, CA — July is stacking up to be an event-filled month in Oceanside. Here are some of our favorite happenings coming up this month.

First Friday: Art Walk & Music at the Museum
Celebrate the thriving arts and culture scene in the heart of downtown Oceanside. The First Friday Art Walk will showcase live performances, jewelry, pottery, crafts and pop-up art galleries showcased in local businesses and public spaces.

First Free Friday with Music at the Museum: Taryn Donath Duo
Explore the exhibitions at Oceanside Museum of Art and stay for the music as First Friday Art Walk extends into the night at OMA with two-time San Diego Music Award winner, Taryn Donath and drummer Matthew Taylor. Running the gamut from 60’s soul to jazz and swing, to funk and Latin to straight up boogie-woogie! These talented performers demonstrate their chemistry through improvisation and true spontaneity.Foodies by Sonia. Cash bar and food sales are available beginning at 5:00 PM. Music starts at 6:00 PM. Oceanside Fireworks Celebration July 3
The City of Oceanside will host an incredible fireworks display on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at SoCal Sports Complex at El Corazon to celebrate Oceanside’s 134th birthday. Fireworks will begin at 9:00 p.m. This year's event will feature live entertainment, a family fun zone, a picnic area, and food vendors. The SoCal Sports fields are located at 3300 El Corazon Drive. Parking will be available at the SoCal lot for $12 per car and free parking will be available at the Ocean Ranch Business Park. RV's and buses are not permitted. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. Details

Outdoor Concert at Mission San Luis Rey
Join Mission San Luis Rey for a “kick-up-your-boots” fun evening of music and dancing at the Mission Pavilion to some of your favorite country tunes from Savannah. All ticket prices include one drink ticket. Table seating includes an appetizer platter. Drinks and light snacks will also be available for purchase.

Samoan Cultural Festival July 9
The Samoan Cultural Festival is back at the Jr. Seau Pier Amphitheatre where everyone is welcome to learn and enjoy the Samoan Culture. This year's event will have food vendors, merchandise, and live traditional Samoan music & dancers. Additionally, an international Cup Stacking Competition will be held in the Junior Seau Beach Community Center at 11:00 am.

Pirates of Penzance at Star Theatre July 15-24
Set sail with this classic comedy that boasts one of the most famous patter songs in musical theatre history. A fresh take on one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic operas, this updated version of The Pirates of Penzance took New York by storm when it premiered in Central Park in 1980, leading to a subsequent smash-hit Broadway run. Watermelon Festival at Mellano Farms
Join Mellano Farm Stand for Watermelon, Watermelon, and more Watermelon! Their fields are packed with ripe, sweet, juicy watermelons. Visitors will enjoy delicious food, live music, local vendors, crafts, tractor rides & strawberry u-pick, sunflower u-pick, and of course the farm stand will be full of flowers and produce including watermelons!

Movie in the Park: Encanto
Presented by Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department. The Movies in the Park series continues on Friday, July 22. Join us at Mance Buchanon Park (425 College Blvd.) as we present ENCANTO! The movie presentation will start around dusk (7:45 p.m.). Don’t forget your chairs, blankets and snacks!
