The report from WalletHub compared over 180 U.S. cities in its "2022 Best & Worst Places to Raise a Family" report, gathering data and basing the rankings on criteria such as safety, quality of school systems, unemployment rate, and cost of living/affordability.   3. Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside recently earned over two dozen awards and honors for its work in robotic surgery, COVID-19 pandemic response and community outreach. In 2020, the hospital's robotic spine program led to the hospital being named as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for spine surgery. (Coast News)
  4. Beauty magazine Marie Claire lists Sunny's Spa at the Seabird Resort in Oceanside as one of the best New Spas in the World.   5. Oceanside Police Department is looking to expand the number of community service officers from four to 32 under a plan that the City Council is set to take up in June. The proposal is among public safety improvements that are moving forward in Oceanside with revenue from Measure X, a 1/2 cent sales tax approved by city voters in 2018. Community service officers assist police by responding to and investigating lower-priority service calls. (Oside News)
