OCEANSIDE, CA — A man was rushed to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a slow-moving passenger train in Oceanside.

The northbound Amtrak train was traveling at about 20 mph when it hit the pedestrian at a grade crossing on Cleveland Street shortly after 2:30 p.m., according to San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

It was not immediately clear how seriously the man was injured. His name was not released.
