Tri-City Hospital Foundation to Host First Casino Night Fundraiser
James Bond-inspired fete invites 007s, villains and Bond Girls alike to place their bets for the good of North County mothers and babies

Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s first community fundaiser of 2016 will also be a first-ever event for the charitable arm of Tri-City Medical Center – a James Bond-inspired Casino Night. Planned for Saturday, March 5 at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa, the themed affair will continue the Foundation’s mission to update and expand the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Tri-City and further enhance the level of services available to mothers and babies in North County San Diego.
“This event will be a fun addition for the Foundation and open to everone in our community,” said Glen Newhart, CFRE, President of Tri-City Hospital Foundation. “Since the NICU and Women and Infant Services have such a powerful, positive impact on the lives of so many local families, we look forward to welcoming everyone and setting the expansion up for a successful completion this summer.”
After a $1.2 million project, the Tri-City Medical Center NICU – the only Level III/critical care facility in North County – will have more space and tools for physicians and nurses, private rooms for greater comfort and be even better equipped to give hundreds of ill infants healthy, bright futures. Completion is anticipated for summer 2016.
