Tri-City Medical Center Proceeds with Campus Redevelopment Plan

Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors Authorizes the First Steps of Campus Redevelopment

The Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors granted approval to Tri-City Medical Center CEO Tim Moran during a Feb. 5 district board meeting to hire an architect to proceed on their campus redevelopment plan. The architect will provide designs for a new Emergency Department and parking structure, re- design and expand the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) level II and III and the Obstetrics Department along with addressing certain seismic compliance requirements.

“The Board looks forward to a plan with design principles that enhance our service to patients and families in some of the most critical areas of the medical center” said District Board Chair Larry Schallock

“In our commitment to advancing the health and wellness of our community, we will be emphasizing patient privacy, comfort and easy access to our medical center so they can get well close to home.” said Moran.

The design of a new Emergency Department and parking structure as well as the NICU and OB departments, is the first phase of a multi-phase approach to their campus redevelopment. The Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors originally granted approval for a campus redevelopment plan during a Jan. 29 district board meeting.
