part of the stores located at 625 S. Coast Highway in Oceanside, is full of surprises.

Open from noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week, the store attracts customers from all over the area, and even some who commute a great distance to find something different.

Michelle Stranger, 18, drove from Temecula with a few of her friends to show them the shop that has stocked her wardrobe full of singular finds for years.

"It's just unique," Stranger said. "I really like it. It's super undercover, which is why I had to bring my friends here. I've found some great high-waisted shorts and some cute bags. It's definitely worth checking out."

The explosion of colors when you enter the store can quickly overwhelm, but most of the customers in the shop are meticulously combing through clothing, intent upon finding a diamond in the rough.

"It's really a great place," said Natalie Gajewski, 31, while sifting through a pile of clothing. "There is a ton of neat stuff to look at. I've found shoes, dresses and even a suit for my husband. I stop by often to see if there's anything good because the clothing is always changing."

The store offers everything from jewelry to shoes, men's wear, women's clothing and a fabulous assortment of hats.

"Oh, my gosh, I'm coming back," said Nathan Gonzaga, 17. He was brought to the store by his friend, Stranger.

"You rarely find clothes like this," said Carmen Franco, 21, an employee at Vintage Sanctuary who commutes from Los Angeles to work in Oceanside. "Clothing just isn't made like it was, when people valued it. The clothes in this store are all well-made, and everything has a story."
