Vista Companies Collect More than 40,000 Meals in Four Weeks for the San Diego Food Bank

Twenty-Six Architecture, Engineering and Construction Firms Participate in Month-long Fundraising competition; More Than Double Their Goal.

T-Squared Professional Engineers, Inc. and Axiom Commissioning Group completed their Fourth Annual San Diego County AEC Food Drive, in partnership with the San Diego Food Bank, blowing their 15,000-meal goal out of the water by 25,000 meals. The month-long competition kicked off on Oct. 20 with an 'End Hunger Games' kick-off event at Home & Away in Old Town, with twenty-six San Diego-based architecture, engineering and construction firms participating in the drive. The companies raised 40,281 meals in total, which will be used by the San Diego Food Bank to help local community members in need this holiday season.

Farzad Tadayon, President of T-Squared Professional Engineers, Inc. and Axiom Commissioning Group says he is so proud of all the teams that participated this year. "Because of their dedication and willingness to serve the community where they live and work, many San Diegans in need will have food this holiday season," says Tadayon.

PRAVA Construction won the food drive, collecting nearly 7,000 meals. The team will be awarded the AEC traveling trophy in recognition of their outstanding efforts later this month. Kalina Torrez, office manager at Prava Construction, shared that the AEC Food Drive is a company favorite because it is an event that everyone can participate in. Additionally, the company is able to see the impact their donations make on the local community during the holiday season.
