Independent study validates decade of local control as Ontario International Airport's economic impact surges to nearly $5 billion annually (airport-suppliers.com) — Ontario International Airport is now generating about $4.8 billion a year in economic output, supporting more than 24,000 jobs and significantly boosting the Inland Empire’s GDP. Nearly a decade after returning to local control, the airport’s rapid growth in passengers, cargo, and logistics is strengthening Ontario’s economy and shaping long‑term regional opportunities. 
2. Children's Network to host 40th annual conference – Welcome to San Bernardino County (sbcounty.gov) — Ontario’s Convention Center will host the 40th annual San Bernardino County Children’s Network conference on September 2–3, bringing child welfare, mental health, and social service professionals together for two full days. With over 50 workshops, 70 vendors, and keynotes on trauma, resilience, and leadership, local practitioners and community members can register now to deepen skills supporting children and families.

NHL preseason announced with reduced number of games (tucson.com) — Ontario will host an NHL preseason matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas on Sept. 19 as part of a shortened exhibition schedule before the 84‑game regular season. The game offers local fans a rare chance to see top‑level hockey close to home, with only 65 preseason contests leaguewide this year.

Inflation Climbs In RivCo, Across IE: What Every Resident Should Know (patch.com) — Inflation in our region, including Ontario, rose 3.2% over the past year, driven largely by higher energy and gas prices, with food and rent also climbing.
