1. Earthquake Shakes Inland Empire Awake Wednesday: Did You Feel It? (patch.com) — A small 3.2 earthquake struck early Wednesday near Ontario in San Bernardino County, briefly rattling residents across parts of the Inland Empire and neighboring counties. Shaking was felt from Ontario to cities like Hemet, Banning, Beaumont and Riverside, but no injuries were reported. Officials are asking anyone who felt it to report their experience to the USGS “Did You Feel It?” site.
   

2. Ontario's Chaffey Museum of Art looks to its past to move forward (sbsun.com subscription) — Ontario’s Chaffey Community Museum of Art is celebrating 85 years by rediscovering its historic Line Collection and renewing its mission to support mid-career Pomona Valley artists. Backed by Ontario city leaders and growing fundraising, the museum has secured a permanent downtown home, expanded its budget, and begun hosting bolder exhibits and backyard events that signal a more vibrant local arts scene.
   

3. LJ Preston's GoFundMe Profile (gofundme.com) — A traveling chef says he’s currently stranded in Ontario after being abandoned by an employer and is seeking short-term housing and work so he can reunite with his young son. He describes having no local support network or resources and asks for temporary lodging, job leads, or donations to help him get back on his feet and return home.
   

4. 23 leaders & organizations honored for excellence, achievements, and contributions to the credit union movement (cuinsight.com) — From a dateline in Ontario state and Nevada credit union associations have announced 23 leaders and organizations receiving major industry awards this year. Honorees will be celebrated at the REACH 2026 conference in Palm Desert this November, recognizing lifetime achievement, social impact, advocacy, and volunteer service that support credit union members and communities across the region.
   

5. Man Who Perpetrated Tire Iron Attack on Girlfriend Set for Sentencing (mynewsla.com) — A Jurupa Valley man convicted of attempting to kill his girlfriend with a tire iron is scheduled for sentencing, with prosecutors expecting more than 15 years in prison. After the 2022 attack, he fled with their toddler, driving through Ontario in San Bernardino County before being arrested in Nuevo; the child was found unharmed, while the victim suffered serious, long-term injuries.
