2 Arrested, $463K Worth Of Stolen Goods Recovered In OC: Report

The pair were arrested in Anaheim on charges of receiving stolen property from organized retail-theft crews, reports say.

ANAHEIM, CA — A man and a women were arrested in Orange County and face accusations of receiving stolen property from organized retail-theft crews, with authorities recovering more than $463,000 in stolen property, the Orange County Register reported.

Anaheim resident Yolanda De La Rosa, 49, and Lynwood resident Jesus Ortiz, 48, were arrested Feb. 24 after California Highway Patrol officers delivered search warrants at three locations and found "more than 14,000 items stolen from retail stores, including clothes, shoes, purses, cologne and perfume," CHP officials told the newspaper.

According to a previous Patch report, De La Rosa was arrested in Sept. 2021 after CHP found more than $2 million in stolen merchandise from an Anaheim mobile home.

She was sentenced to 364 days in county jail and two years of probation after pleading guilty to organized retail theft and receiving stolen property.

She was on probation at the time of the recent arrest, reports say.
