Aerial Shots Over Wild Rivers: Photos Of The Day
The water park is 50 percent larger than the original, and sits on 20 acres of land in Irvine's Great Park.
IRVINE, CA — After a decade-long closure, the much-anticipated Wild Rivers water park is back at a new location in Irvine's Great Park. Wild Rivers, a well-loved favorite that shut down in 2011, made its return Sunday with a soft opening.

Orange County resident Tarek Jadeba captured these aerial shots of the newly-built water park to share with the community last week, offering residents the chance to get a birds-eye look into the water park.

The water park is 50 percent larger than the original, according to officials, and features new and updated attractions including a wave pool, a lazy river, and several rides such as Tomcat Racers and Bora Bora Boomerango.
