Woman Delivers Baby In Parking Lot After OC Hospital Repeatedly Sent Her Home

A woman gave birth in the parking lot of a Jack in the Box after being turned away at the hospital.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A Southern California couple has a birth story for the ages, after their daughter made a surprise arrival in the parking lot of a Jack in the Box, Fox News reported.

Michelle Cisneros and Darren Campbell welcomed their newest addition, Valentina Isla Campbell, last Friday after pulling into the Orange County fast food restaurant parking lot. The family was on their way home after Hoag Hospital twice sent them home, telling the couple it was too soon for them to be admitted for labor and delivery, according to Fox.

According to the couple, Cisneros was evaluated by nearby Hoag Hospital twice before delivering baby Valentina.

According to Fox news, Cisneros said she was monitored for about an hour at Hoag before being discharged and instructed to return if her contractions became three minutes apart.

By the time the couple had made it to the bottom floor of the hospital, her contractions were three minutes apart, the report said. Cisneros was monitored for another hour before being sent home again, Fox reported.

"'I said, 'Look, we're not leaving. Contractions are three minutes apart,'" Campbell told Fox News. "It was very dismissive of, 'You guys are okay. You guys don't have to be here. Go home and we'll see you later.'"
