ANAHEIM, CA — Layoffs are hitting Disneyland Park, the Los Angeles Times reported.
According to a report published by the Times, a source familiar with the matter said The Walt Disney Company is laying off between 100 and 200 people.
The job cuts stem from a regular evaluation of the company's priorities and impacts the company's experiences division, which includes company's parks and cruise line employees.
The layoffs come as the California company works toward several expansions and remodels amid regular park operations.
Changes include an all-new "Avengers" campus at Disney California Adventure priced at $60 million and a complete transformation of the iconic "Tomorrowland" at Disneyland Park.
According to the LA Times, the job cuts are part of an effort by new Disney Chief Executive Josh D'Amaro to sharpen the company's focus and help it respond faster to the changing entertainment industry.
