CA Disneyland Tickets Rise Again

ANAHEIM, CA — Ticket prices are rising again at California's Happiest Place On Earth just in time for the bustling holiday season at the state's most popular park.

On Monday, all but one of the tiered Disneyland ticket prices officially increased, and park officials introduced a sixth higher-cost option. The price of parking also went up, from $25 to $30.

When the park reopened in April, a reservations system was introduced but a tiering system was launched in 2016 to help the bustling park mitigate long winding lines and overwhelming crowds.

Tier 1, the cheapest of the now six options, will remain at $104 and is offered on mid-week and less popular days. The ticket does not allow entry into California Adventure.

Here are the ticket prices that took effect Monday:

• Tier 2: $119
• Tier 3: $134
• Tier 4: $149
• Tier 5: $159
• Tier 6: $164 (New)

Under the new pricing system, ticket prices reflected increases of 3 percent to 8 percent. The park's newest Tier 6 ticket will be for days with the highest demand to get in.

All tickets except Tier 1 are for a visit to either Disneyland or California Adventure.

Introducing multiple tiers was meant to give "guests more ticket choices to meet a variety of budgets as it moves closer to dynamic pricing designed to spread visitation throughout the weeks, months and year," according to a Disney news release, KTLA reported.

During the park's extended closure over the course of the pandemic, Disney nixed its annual passport program and traded it for its new Magic Key tiered system. It's highest tier, priced at $1,400, was already sold out in October, FOX LA reported.
