To Stop Coronavirus, CDC Now Recommends Covering Face In Public
The CDC on Friday recommended people cover their faces in public, especially in places where social distancing is difficult to maintain.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – The CDC on Friday recommended people cover their faces in public, especially in places where social distancing is difficult to maintain, in order to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.
According to the CDC, recent studies show a significant number of people with coronavirus do not show symptoms and even those who do eventually develop symptoms can transmit the virus to others before their symptoms appear. This mean the virus can spread by speak, coughing or sneezing even if people in close proximity do not show symptoms.
The CDC continues to recommend maintaining 6 feet of distance between yourself and the next person in public – better known as social distancing – in order to slow the virus.

Additionally, people should cover their faces with cloth in order to slow the spread. Cloth face masks can be made from household items or can be made at home from common materials that are affordable, according to the CDC.
