etnies' Aurelien Giraud Wins Skateboarding Street World Championship

Contest held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on Feb. 5

Congrats to entries' own Aurelien Giraud who took the men’s title at the skateboarding street world championships in Sharjah, UAE on Sunday. The moment before his fourth best trick attempt, Aurelien didn’t have enough points to medal. Then he landed a big backside 360 kickflip earning a 91.48 score that put him in the lead on his path to becoming the world champ!

Throughout the contest Aurelian skated the etnies Windrow x Aurelien Giraud colorway, pictured above. The gold stylized etnies “E” on the side popped on this slim white skateboard shoe.

In 1986, etnies launched in France; the brand remains owned and run by French skateboarder Pierre-Andre Senizergues. etnies French roots run deep, the brand is watching the road to the PARIS 2024 Olympic Games closely and supporting team riders Aurelien Giraud and Chris Joslin along the way. The next event on the road to Paris 2024 will be Rome, Italy for the World Skateboarding Tour stop, June 18-25.

The street world championship event was a Paris 2024 Olympic qualifier with Olympic World Skateboard Ranking (OWSR) awarded.
