Here are the top 3 stories in Orange County today:

  1. A restaurant inspired by a hit reality TV cooking competition show is coming to SoCal. Gordon Ramsay's first California Hell's Kitchen will open to the public at Harrah's Resort Southern California in Valley Center on Aug. 12. With Hell's Kitchen becoming a part of the Harrah's dining experience, "guests can expect to see some of the show's signature dishes on the menu" and they will recognize the decor familiar to "Hell's Kitchen" fans. (Orange County Register via Facebook)
  2. O.C. residents may see low flying helicopters next week at Huntington Beach and north Orange County. It's not a covert police operation, but the annual inspection of the pipeline conducted by Southern California Gas. The city of Huntington Beach announced: "This is a routine inspection and there is no cause for alarm." (Orange County Patch)
  3. A shout out to O.C. students who have their artwork on display at The Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach. From etched drawings in pencil to an artistic depiction of a monarch butterfly, more than 200 pieces of student art are featured at the 90th Festival of Arts currently on display at Laguna Beach in the Junior Art Exhibit. "Each piece of artwork was carefully selected by art authorities from thousands of submissions representing K-12 schools throughout Orange County," officials said. Be sure to stop by and see the world through the eyes of our young Orange County artists. (OCDE Newsroom)
