Jewelry Valued At $560K Stolen In OC During Daylight Robbery
The three suspects who stole the jewelry are currently on the loose, Orange County authorities said.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Three men who stole $560,000 worth of jewelry from a vehicle on a freeway off-ramp are on the loose, authorities said Friday.
The robbery was reported Thursday afternoon at around 12:41 p.m., authorities said.
The victims were moving the jewelry and were stopped at a red light on a Garden Grove Freeway off-ramp when the suspects stopped directly in front of them and got out of a silver van, Sgt. Mark Lord of the Garden Grove Police Department said.

The suspects, who were described as three men in their 30s, smashed the rear windows of the victim's vehicle and grabbed a bag holding the jewelry from the rear seat.
Police said after the suspects drove away, the victims chased them and crashed into the suspect's vehicle at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Trask Avenue, where the victim's vehicle became disabled, police said.

Officers from the Garden Grove Police Department were called to the scene and learned the suspects had fled with the jewelry.
