FULLERTON, CA — A 27-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal incident where a man was reportedly stabbed, then run over by a vehicle beyond dying on a Fullerton street, authorities said.
The suspect, identified as Fullerton resident Francisco Soriano Jr., was arrested shortly after the hit-and-run.
The crime was reported to the Fullerton Police Department at 8:52 p.m. Sunday and happened at Euclid Street and Baker Avenue, police said.

The department received a 911 call from a witness who claimed to see a man stabbed and possibly run over at that location, FPD spokeswoman Kristy Wells said. No vehicles were reported to have stopped at the scene.
Arriving officers found the victim in the roadway suffering from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds and attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, she said. His name and age were not released and the Orange County Coroner's office will determine the cause and manner of his death.

Officers broadcast a description of the suspect to surrounding police agencies and got results.
"Shortly after, the Buena Park Police Department responded to a report of a hit-and-run traffic collision in their city," Wells said. "Buena Park Police officers located and detained a suspect.
Fullerton Police detectives responded and, following an investigation, determined the individual detained by Buena Park Police was the suspect in Fullerton's homicide investigation."
Soriano was arrested and booked into the Fullerton Police Department jail for suspicion of murder.
Crimes Against Persons detectives were investigating at the scene and the streets were closed for several hours, Wells said.
