OC Homeless Shelters Open 24 Hours During Bad Weather
Orange County's Santa Ana homeless shelter will be open during stormy, cold weather.

SANTA ANA, CA ā Emergency homeless shelters at the Santa Ana and Fullerton armories were open with extended hours on Monday, according to Orange County Health Care Agency officials.
With storms possible Monday, emergency homeless shelters in the Santa Ana and Fullerton armories will be open for a 24-hour period beginning Monday morning.
From 6:30 a.m. Monday through 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, transients can access the shelters that have 400 beds and are normally open overnight.

Transients can expect a meal, warm shower and a "safe place to sleep," according to the Orange County health Care Agency.
Shuttle rides for no cost will be provided to the shelters at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Shuttle stops are listed at mercyhouse.net

Additional shelters were located at:
- Courtyard Transitional Center in Santa Ana
- Bridges at Kraemer Place in Anaheim.
NOTE:
In observance of military training drills for the California National Guard, the Orange County Armory Emergency Shelters in Fullerton AND Santa Ana will be closed:
Tuesday (1/7/2020) thru Sunday (1/12/2020)
Both Armories will reopen Monday (1/13/2020)
