Orange County Schools Make Changes Amid Scorching Heat Wave
Schools across the county are facing challenges as an ongoing heat wave rages across the region.
WESTMINSTER, CA β The ongoing heat wave has presented new learning challenges for some students in Orange County, with students in the Westminster School District being granted an early release day on Friday to avoid the mid-day heat.
The move was prompted by classroom temperatures reaching 90 degrees, the Orange County Register reported.
To try to combat the heat, Westminster School District teachers guide students into cooled rooms for brief reprieves to help them through the heat.
