ORANGE COUNTY, CA — It's time once again to see which crazy Orange County residents earned Guinness World Records in 2020. What do you think of when you have to stay home for several months? Perhaps the most toilet paper hoarded in a single household? Or how about the person who has sneezed the most, or the least, in an entire year?

The Guinness World Records remains the gold standard for measuring feats of strength, endurance, and the out of this world odd.

In 2020, Guinness World Records were held or were broken by Californians, according to the Guinness World Records. Here are some of Orange County's newest additions that made this coronavirus shutdown year a little bit more bearable.

On July 12, Clairicia took a total of 20 successful layups outside of his Irvine home to bring home this record. According to the Guinness Book of World's Records site, "Anthony was looking for a way to be productive, play basketball and achieve goals during the Covid-19 pandemic," they reported. He practiced every day after his school year ended to set this Guinness World Records title.

In February 2020, Walker donned his surfing gear, grabbed his surfboard, and took off for a half marathon to win a world record. He completed the task in 2 hours 13 minutes and 55 seconds. What did he place in the race? Walker came in 259th in his age division, according to the Guinness site.

It was October of 2020 when the Subaru of America group gathered to form this odd-looking parade of cars. A total of 1,751 Subarus and drivers at Subiefest took part in the event. During the record-breaking gathering, Subaru of America also raised and donated the equivalent of 458,200 meals to Second Harvest Orange County and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank during the event.
