Road Rage Suspect Arrested In OC For Felony Vandalism Wednesday

The 39-year-old man allegedly tried to enter the car of another person before punching the car's window and ripping off the side mirror.

ORANGE, CA — A road rage suspect was booked at Orange County Jail for felony vandalism Wednesday, the Orange Police Department reported.

The incident was reported Tuesday afternoon, on Chapman Avenue approaching Tustin Street in the City of Orange. The victim told police that they were driving west on Chapman Avenue when an SUV left a parking lot, crossed into his lane, and suddenly stopped.

The suspect, 39-year-old Timothy Howell, exited his car and ran toward the victim. Howell tried to open the victim's car door, authorities said, but it was locked.

Howell then allegedly punched the victim's window, ripped off the side mirror and kicked the door.

The victim took down Howell's license plate number as he left the area in his SUV.
