Shots Fired During Attempted Robbery At OC Jewelry Store

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Shots were fired Wednesday after three armed suspects attempted a robbery on a Fullerton business, the Fullerton Police Department said.

According to police, three masked suspects exited a dark-colored sedan that had stopped in front of a jewelry store in the 1500 block of South Harbor Boulevard. Authorities said the suspects may have been armed with handguns.

A uniformed security guard employed by the store fired at the three suspects as they approached, prompting them to flee the scene, investigators said.

Police were called to the scene around 12:08 p.m. and searched the area for possible suspects, though none were found.
