Speedboat Whizzes By Disneyland Rivers Of America Crowd To Save Show
Fantasmic, Disneyland's nighttime spectacular, was in trouble this month until maintenance crews blasted in on a rarely seen motorboat.

ANAHEIM, CA—What does it take to save the day? Recently, at Disneyland Resort, it took a maintenance crew on a speedboat.
Last week, debris became lodged on an underwater track on which the Rivers of America Mark Twain and Columbia ships cruise.
Caught on camera by The Walker Chronicles on Instagram, the crews boarded a 20-foot-long skiff and motored in to attempt to free the unidentified blockage.

"For a second I thought we were at Universal Studios watching Waterworld," the Instagram post reads.
Another Disney Fan, Cade Swenson, wrote that he saw the boat whiz in and push the Columbia out of the way in time for a "Fantasmic" show.

Guests loved the sight and shared The Walker Chronicle's enthusiasm that it looked like something from a different theme park.
According to the SBSun, the wake alone would have been enough, but this time, a diver was needed to do the dirty work.
While one show of "Fantasmic" was delayed, the second show took placeat 10:30 p.m. as planned, according to The Sun.
Disneyland Resort guests said in comments that they have witnessed repair crews working from the skiff on the Jungle Cruise, the Rivers of America in Disneyland, and the "World of Color" fountains on Paradise Bay in Disney California Adventure.
Still, the June arrival of the crews was something that kept guests talking.
