Suspect Arrested In Hit-And-Run That Injured CHP Officer, Police Say
The motorist was arrested after he reportedly crashed into the back of a California Highway Patrol vehicle on an OC freeway before fleeing.

ANAHEIM, CA — A motorist wanted for fleeing after crashing into the back of a California Highway Patrol vehicle and injuring an officer has been arrested, authorities said Wednesday.
The crash was reported on Sept. 3, as a Westminster-area CHP officer was stopped on the right shoulder of the westbound 91 Freeway, just east of Euclid Street in Anaheim.
According to police, the driver of a black Nissan pickup truck rammed into the back of the CHP vehicle, leaving rear end damage and injuring the officer.

After the crash, police said the motorist continued driving westbound on the 91 Freeway before leaving the vehicle and running on foot.
On Wednesday, CHP Westminster posted on Instagram and said the agency was “happy to inform the public” that the suspect had been arrested. The suspect's name was not released, nor was the status of the injured officer.
