Here are the top stories today in Orange County:

1. San Diego Gas & Electric, which serves 4,127 customers in Orange County, shut off power on Thanksgiving for over 64,000 customers due to fire danger, mostly in high-wind areas. The utility company warned customers to make alternative holiday arrangements in the event of a public safety power shutoff (PSPS). Southern California Edison also shut off power on Thursday for thousands of customers in the area. The two companies were considering cutting power to a combined 200,000 homes in response to red flag warnings for critical fire danger from Los Angeles to San Diego, which were in effect through Friday. (ABC News)
2. Want to help brighten the holiday season for children across Orange County? Now through Dec. 13, you can participate in the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive by donating to Marine Toys for Tots. The annual drive continues the long-held tradition of providing Christmas cheer to children in Marine families across Orange County. Residents interested in donating can either do it online by purchasing a toy or in-person by visiting any Disney or World of Disney store in the country. So far in 2021, the Walt Disney Company has already donated $500,000 to Toys for Tots and will donate an additional $1 for every dollar donated. (Orange County Patch)
3. The murder charge against an Orange County man in the shooting death of his stepdaughter's husband nearly 11 years ago has officially been dismissed. Robert Fischer, a California divorce lawyer, was convicted by a jury for the death of 49-year-old Norman "Lee" Radder, who died from a single shot from Fischer's handgun into Radder's right eye after a night of drinking in December of 2010. That 2013 conviction was overturned and retried, but Fischer was indicted again in 2018 on a murder charge in Radder's death, leading to the case that was recently dismissed. 4. According to the California Department of Health, Orange County residents are 65 percent fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of this week, with 2 million doses administered throughout the county. (OC Register)
5.
