Wildlife Center Urgently Seeks Veggie Donations In Orange County

The Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center of Orange County sought the community's help after taking in a "massive" number of orphan mallard ducklings, squirrels, opossums and raccoons over the weekend.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — The Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center of Orange County sought the community's help after taking in a "massive" number of orphan mallard ducklings, squirrels, opossums and raccoons over the weekend.

The center asked for donations of some lettuce — no iceberg — squash, broccoli and green beans to help feed the hungry mouths currently receiving care at the facility.

"We know it's a very busy weekend," the center wrote on Facebook. "But the babies will really appreciate the donations."

Orange County residents can drop off their vegetable donations at the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, 21900 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. The center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
