A woman died Friday when the car she was driving crashed into a tree in Fullerton.
FULLERTON, CA — A woman died Friday when the car she was driving crashed into a tree in Fullerton.
Police were dispatched to the scene at Gilbert Street and Hughes Drive at about 1:40 a.m., the Fullerton Police Department reported.
According to police, the woman died at the scene of the crash. Information on her identity was not immediately released.

According to a police statement, the 2014 Subaru Impreza was northbound on Gilbert Street "when, for unknown reason, it veered into the southbound lanes."
"The Subaru struck a tree causing the vehicle spin out into the roadway," the police statement said. "At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the cause of the collision."
