Woman's Body Found In Santa Ana Apartment Homicide, Arrest Made
Police responded early Friday to the discovery of a body. She appeared to have been a murder victim, reports say.

SANTA ANA, CA — The body of a woman in her 20s was found in a Santa Ana apartment, Friday. One "person of interest" has been arrested after fleeing from authorities, taking police on a wild chase across Orange County, according to police.
Police were called about 7 a.m. to the 1000 block of South Standard Avenue after the victim's family members went to her apartment and found her body, Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said. Police have confirmed that there was foul play in her death.
Police have obtained a search warrant to authorize a check for more evidence in the apartment, Bertagna said.

The woman's family was filling in detectives on the victim's life history, Bertagna said.
Police tracked down the male suspect, but when detectives tried to pull him over in his Volkswagen Passat "he hit the gas and led police on a chase through the city, Anaheim and back to Santa Ana," Bertagna said.

The pursuit ended with the driver rear-ending a truck at Dyer Road and Grand Avenue about 11:45 p.m., Friday," Bertagna said.
The man -- whose identity is being withheld -- then jumped out of the car and tried to get away on foot, but police arrested him without incident, Bertagna said.
The man was taken to the police station for further questioning, Bertagna said.
