Young Father Shot To Death While Infant Daughter Slept In Other Room, Family Says

"He was a devoted father to his daughter and it was beautiful to see him love her for these first 6 months of her life," his family said.

BREA, CA — A father was shot to death on his apartment patio while his infant daughter slept in the other room, according to his family, who are raising money to pay for memorial services and the girl’s education.

Logan Kahmar, 21, was killed around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at an apartment complex in the 600 block of North Tamarack Avenue in Brea, police said. Sidney Clarke, 28, also of Brea, is charged with murder and being held in jail, where he is ineligible for bail, according to police.

“Logan was the one that would light up a room and make everyone laugh,” said a GoFundMe started by his family.

“He was a devoted father to his daughter and it was beautiful to see him love her for these first 6 months of her life. Anastasia was robbed of her father and we want to make sure she will not only remember and know her father through us, but have everything she needs to live her life like Logan wanted.”

Donations will cover costs associated with Kahmar’s death and be used to create an account for his daughter, to be granted to her on her 18th birthday for college and other expenses.
