Downtown Ventura Mini Golf Event to Benefit Local Children Facing Cancer

Downtown Ventura Mini Golf Event to Benefit Local Children Facing Cancer

Event Details

Ventura, CA, 93001

On Saturday, April 25, Main Street will transform into a pop-up mini golf course as the inaugural Downtown Ventura Mini Golf Challenge takes over Ventura’s Main Street for an afternoon of community fun, benefiting Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation. The golf challenge will take place along Downtown Ventura’s Main Street closure with the enthusiastic support of the Downtown Ventura Organization.

Local builders, contractors, and architects have partnered with 18 Main Street businesses to design and host highly creative mini golf holes along five full city blocks of Main Street. Participating businesses will host custom holes directly outside their storefronts, creating an interactive course that spans the entire promenade. Organizers expect the event to draw hundreds of participants to Main Street.

Check-in will take place from 1:30–3:30 p.m. outside Fluid State Beer Garden. All players must be checked in by 3:30 p.m. and are encouraged to arrive earlier to allow plenty of time to enjoy the full course. Golfers may begin playing at any time after checking in, with play continuing until 5:00 p.m.

Following the golf challenge, all players are invited to enjoy a casual BBQ dinner at 5:00 p.m., when the Fluid State parking lot will transform into an outdoor seating area for all participants.

When asked about his involvement in the event, owner Aaron Duncan said, “It’s an honor to host Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation’s event at Fluid State. We value their support for families and communities on the central coast and are looking forward to offering our place of gathering for such a unique and worthy cause.”

The Downtown Ventura Mini Golf Challenge is a community event with activities for everyone. Throughout the event, there will be raffles featuring prizes like tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm, whale watching for two aboard the Condor Express, spa treatments, and more. In the center of the course, near Main Street’s iconic red heart installation, Barefoot Birdies Golf will host a golf simulator where players and spectators can test their swing. Additionally, Downtown Ventura Partners has built a 19th bonus hole, where the first player to score a hole-in-one will win $500.

Event sponsors include Bamieh & De Smeth Professional Law Corporation, Joe Knapp Real Estate Inc., Your Ventura County Lawyer, California Oaks Property Management, 805 Property Restoration, ArtsVentura, Crowne Plaza, DMC Automotive, Hawk Construction and Maintenance, The Daly Group, Legacy One Financial, Matt LaVere, Myers Widders Gibson Jones & Feingold, LLP, OFI, Pacific Breeze Chem Dry, Schneider & Associates, LLP., Plum Gift Boutique, and Sunset Dental.
