1 Arrested, 2 Suspects Remain At-Large For Theft At SMC Retail Store: Police
Police chased one of the suspects identified in the theft at Target, police said.
COLMA, CA β A 29-year-old man was arrested after leading police on a chase on-foot following a theft at a Target store in Colma, Police announced Friday.
At around 7:28 p.m. on Feb. 12, officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at the Target on Junipero Serra Boulevard. Store employees reported that three men, who had previously stolen electronics, had returned and were selecting more items, police said.
When officers arrived, they said they saw the three men leaving the store. As the officers attempted to approach them, all three fled on foot through the parking lot toward Onoβs Hawaiian BBQ on Serramonte Boulevard.

One of the men tried to hide behind a parked car but, when discovered, continued running across Serramonte Boulevard toward Serramonte Ford, police said. He attempted to climb a fence into a secured lot but was caught, police said.
Officers said they were unable to find the other two suspects and they remain at large.

The arrested man was identified as Steven Williams, 29, of San Francisco, and Target Loss Prevention said he was one of the individuals involved in the theft, police said. He was later determined to have stolen $691.19 worth of merchandise.
Police said that he had two previous convictions for theft.
Williams was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on charges including burglary, theft with prior convictions, resisting an officer, conspiracy, and petty theft, police said.
